Welcome to one of our weekly posts, Independent Action, where we let you know the important moves independent candidates and organizations made over the past week. This week we will be discussing Governor Bill Walker of Alaska, Greg Orman of Kansas, and other independent candidates.
Greg Orman, an independent gubernatorial candidate in Kansas endorsed by Unite America, announced his running mate this past week. John Doll, a member of the Kansas House of Representatives (123rd District) since 2013, has left the Republican party to join Orman in his mission to become Kansas’ next governor. Hear what he had to say below:
Governor Bill Walker of Alaska, endorsed by Unite America, went back to Alaska this past week after a long week of Unite America announcements. On Monday, Walker announced a major initiative to build on the longstanding economic relationship between Alaska and China. China has been the number one consumer of Alaskan goods since 2011, which makes this move a priority for not only Walker but the Alaskans he serves. To read the entire release, click here.
Ones to Watch For:

The event allowed him to expand his network as he surrounded himself with 15 other independent candidates. One of those candidates being Terry Hayes of Maine. He would love to hear from you! Feel free to reach out to him via his website linked above.
