Independent Action: Names You Need to Know

Welcome to one of our weekly posts, Independent Action, where we let you know the important moves Independent candidates and organizations made over the past week. This week we will be discussing Noah Dyer of Arizona, Nick Thomas of Colorado, and other Independent candidates.

Noah Dyer, an Independent gubernatorial candidate in Arizona, was easily the most active of candidates this past week. This bodes well for his campaign as Dyer and crew visited the West Valley to hold a meeting with a group of Independents. Following that, they spent St. Patrick’s Day at the parade in Phoenix working towards their goal of collecting 50,000 signatures. Make sure to check out his website linked above.

Dyer, like many other Independent candidates, is not a fan of how many signatures are needed for an Independent candidate to get on the ballot. To join his efforts in changing the way things are currently shaped, check out his Facebook post below.

Nick Thomas, an Independent candidate for Colorado’s 2nd Congressional District, kept himself busy as seen through his Facebook page this past week. If you’re in Colorado, there’s a good chance you ran into him. Thomas spent part of his week listening to groups like Issue One. He also set up many events this week, including this one and this one. Follow his Facebook or campaign site to stay up to date on everything this man is planning for in the upcoming weeks and months leading up to the election.

Unite America, formerly the Centrist Project, continued their push to receive more media coverage to provide a nation-wide platform for their candidates to get name recognition and voters behind them. Give this piece a read to get a better understanding of the group if you don’t know of them by now. Also, make sure to check out the Unite America National Rollout recap below.
